What we collect

When you call, text, or fill in the form on this site, we collect your name, the contact details you give us, and what you tell us about the property and your situation. That’s it — we don’t ask for financial details, and we never need your bank information until a sale is actually settling, at which point it goes to the solicitor, not to us.

The web address on our letters

We should be straightforward about this. Each letter we post carries a short web address that is unique to that household. If someone visits it, we record that the visit happened, when it happened, and which letter it came from. Our website receives back only a street name and suburb — never a house number — so that a letter passed to a relative can’t reveal more than the letterbox already does.

We use this for two reasons: to know our letters are arriving, and to stop writing to people who clearly aren’t interested. It is not used for advertising, and there are no third-party advertising pixels on our letter links.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell or share your information for marketing, ever. We don’t run advertising trackers on this site. We don’t build profiles of visitors. We don’t buy or sell marketing lists of personal information beyond the publicly available property ownership records we use to address our letters.

Why we have your address

We write to owners using publicly available property records. You didn’t give us your address and we don’t pretend otherwise.

Anyone can ask us to stop. Call or text 0412 755 853, or email hello@gadsdenjohnston.com.au, and we’ll mark the address do-not-mail permanently. You don’t have to give a reason, and it applies to the address, so it keeps holding after the property changes hands.

Who sees it

Us — Peter and Carni. Our solicitor, if a sale goes ahead. And the service providers who host this website and post our mail, who are only permitted to use it to do that work for us. Nobody else.

Storing it, correcting it, deleting it

We keep your information securely and only while there’s a reason to. If you want to see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted, ask us and we’ll do it — call 0412 755 853 or email hello@gadsdenjohnston.com.au. We handle personal information consistently with Australian privacy law.
